When it comes to a historical past, the Golden Isles is not short on stories. Home to the Bloody Marsh battle site, a National Historic Landmark District and an iconic working lighthouse, people from all over flock to the Georgia coast to learn about what life was like in days gone by.

In addition to the Golden Isles’ deep storied history, quaint antique shops fill the streets of Historic Downtown Brunswick and St. Simons Island. Here you can discover unique treasures that are all their own. Whether you are looking for an original piece of home décor or the perfect vintage jewelry find, you will probably find what you are looking for in the antique shops of the Golden Isles. If you are an antique collector or even just a window shopper, be sure to take advantage of the First Friday event, occurring every first Friday of the month in Downtown Brunswick. During this community event, the shops that line Newcastle Street are open into the night until 8:00pm. This is a great opportunity to browse through some of the antique shops that the area has to offer and sample a variety of hor d'oeuvres while you shop.

Visit our shopping page, and once there select “Antiques and Collectibles” to see a full list of antique shops right here in the Golden Isles.

Shops are not the only places where you can take home a piece of the past in the Golden Isles. Situated in the heart of St. Simons Island within a short walking distance of the lighthouse, the Postell Park antique shows are one of the premier spots in the Golden Isles for antiques and collectibles. With antique shows on various weekends from April until November, you will have many opportunities to browse through the numerous booths filled with furniture, jewelry, art and island inspired keepsakes. And with the location being so ideal, you can grab a bite to eat at any of the nearby restaurants or continue shopping in the numerous shops right around the corner in the Pier Village.

Keep checking back throughout the year on our Festivals and Events page for more upcoming events focused on antiques here in the Golden Isles.
