The Golden Isles Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is the official destination marketing organization dedicated to promoting tourism in Glynn County, Georgia.  The Golden Isles CVB also oversees the operation and maintenance Welcome Centers in Glynn County.

Glynn County

Glynn County’s coastal location is a recreational haven for residents and visitors alike. The county features award-winning golf courses, some of the besting fishing on the East Coast, as well as beautiful beaches on the four coastal islands.  The Glynn County Recreation and Parks Department works to enhance the lives of citizens and visitors by providing year-round recreational activities for all ages. The department also manages the beautification of our public parks, including the beaches of St. Simons Island, and numerous facilities.

The vibrant city of Brunswick which rises along the southeastern coastline of Georgia is one of the most unique, historic and visually stunning places in the world. Charming nineteenth century Victorian-style homes, century old grand oaks, endless golden marshes, old magnolia tree lined streets and magnificently preserved buildings complement the bustling business community of boutique shops, fine and casual restaurants, art galleries, banking and financial institutions, quality care medical centers, churches and cultural venues.

College of Coastal Georgia

Recently expanded to a four-year college, the College of Coastal Georgia is a state college of the University System of Georgia, which provides an affordable, outstanding education in the Golden Isles.  The college offers a wide variety of academic and athletic programs.

Southeast Georgia Health System

Brunswick's largest employer, provides quality, caring and comprehensive healthcare to the residents of the area and many surrounding communities.  In 2004, the Brunswick campus was named Best Large Hospital in the State of Georgia by the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals.

Port of Brunswick

The Port of Brunswick is one of the most productive ports on the Atlantic Coast.  It is the sixth busiest automobile port in the United States and is the primary U.S. port of automobile imports for manufacturers such as Jaguar, Land Rover, Porshe, Mitsubishi and Volvo.  Imported products include wood pulp, paper products, heavy machinery and more.

Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC)

As one of the largest employers in the Golden Isles, FLETC is an important part of our community.  FLETC serves as an interagency law enforcement training organization for 90 Federal agencies and also provides services to state, local, tribal and international law enforcement agencies.

Shrimping and Seafood Industry

Brunswick, once called The Shrimp Capital of the World, is the center of Georgia's shrimping industry.  Sweet tasting, delicious premium-quality Wild Georgia Shrimp flourish in the local marshes and estuaries.

The Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce is an active, important part of business in the Golden Isles.  Its membership is comprised of 1,300+ businesses, 80 percent of which are small businesses with 10 employees or less.

Ongoing economic development of the community is well managed by the Brunswick and Glynn County Development Authority, an organization which helps promote economic prosperity for Brunswick and the Golden Isles by assisting expansion of existing industries and securing new employers.
