Cassina Garden Club’s 8th Annual Tabby & Tillandsia Garden Walk

Tour 7 private gardens on Saint Simons Island and the Colonial Herb Garden at Fort Frederica. Enjoy a Garden Party, flower arranging demonstrations, plein air artists, and more at the tabby slave cabins from 2:00-5:00pm.

Tickets will be available locally in April. Proceeds from this event help maintain Cassina’s historic Hamilton Plantation slave cabins on Gascoigne Bluff. Tickets: $30 in advance; $35 on event day

Historically, Gascoigne Bluff was the first possible landing area for a ship entering the harbor.  The site of an Indian settlement long before the Wesleys landed here with James Oglethorpe, Gascoigne Bluff has been headquarters for a military invasion, a Sea Island cotton plantation, the site of
