Coastal Photographers’ Guild – The Big Photo Show 2013

In its 5th year, this is largest local photography exhibit in Glynn County. Photographs will be on display from July 2 Tuesday thru July 27th Saturday at the Glynn Art Association Visual Arts Center, 529 Beachview Drive [Across from the St Simons Island Casino] St Simons Island, Georgia.

An entertaining, complimentary reception will take place Friday, July 5th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm (Awards Presentation at 6:00pm). The show will be judged by noted advertising, corporate and editorial photographer, Eliot VanOtteren and award winning graphic designer, artist and photographer, Dan Walton. Refreshments will be served. Guests at the reception can vote for the “Peoples’ Choice”.

Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm, and Sundays 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Free admission.

Prints are presented by a number of award winning photographers, serious amateurs and more advanced members. Photographs are grouped into five categories: (1) Nature; (2) People (includes portraits); (3) Landscape (4) Creative Digital; and, (5) Open.

The prints are priced for sale and a portion of each sale benefits the Glynn Art Association.

The Coastal Photographer’s Guild [CPG] has grown from 4 to over 80 members in a very short time. The program has steadily improved as have the photographic skills of its members. Monthly meetings, workshops, field trips, member and guest presentations are all part of the agenda.

CPG members have a common purpose of learning and having fun. The results of this goal are presented at The Big Photo Show
