A weekend celebration of two of Georgia's most beloved foods - shrimp and grits. The festival features a cook-off, shrimp boat tours, cooking demonstrations, book signings, arts and crafts vendors, live entertainment and a kid‐friendly fun zone. This festival is a must-see for any food lover.

Friday, September 16: 4-9 p.m.
Saturday, September 17: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
Sunday, September 18: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Southern Living announces a special Southern Living Biscuits & Jam concert with Grammy-nominated headliner David Nail, taking place on Friday, September 16 at the 2016 Jekyll Island Shrimp & Grits Festival. General admission concert tickets are $25 and VIP are $50. 

Additional features for the 2016 festival include an expanded festival footprint, the addition of a third live music stage, two new lounge experiences, more than 50 beers in the Craft Brew Fest, and for the first time ever, a statewide professional cooking competition to name “Georgia’s Best Shrimp & Grits.” Returning favorites include the Jekyll Island Experience Pavilion, an expanded Southern Living Pavilion, family-friendly entertainment, and more than 100 hand-selected art and craft vendors.
