Georgia Beach Walk
Join us for a Beach Walk!
And explore the beach from the edge of the dunes to the low tide. Learn about sea shells and critters living above and below the sand, native plants and their adaptations for life near the ocean, and our beautiful shorebirds that make a winter home along the Georgia Coast. When the weather allows, we can toss a cast net or pull a small seine net through the shallows to see who swims just below the surface!!
Or take the Salt Marsh Exploration!
Step into an easily accessible, hard packed area of the marsh and get to know fiddler crabs, periwinkle snails, native plants & the importance of tides on our coast.
Beach and Marsh Programs are offered on St. Simons & on Jekyll Island. Walks are scheduled during the low tide cycle, allowing for the best exploration!
2 hours Beach or Marsh: $20
Children 6-12 $12 (must be with an adult)
