Climate & Dress

The Golden Isles enjoy a climate typical of a semi-tropical location. Summers are long and warm, with daytime temperatures in the 80s and 90s and nights in the 70s. Coastal breezes, however, normally preclude extreme heat. Winters are short and mild, generally from early December through early February with daytime highs in the 50s.

Weather Forecast

The invitingly mild weather that graces the Golden Isles year round is due in large part to the gentle ocean breezes that help to warm our winters and cool our summers. The annual rainfall is approximately 50 inches while the annual average temperature is a delightful 68⁰F.

Tide Table

You don’t have to spend much time in our area, an afternoon at the beach or on the rivers, to become aware of the enormous effect that tides have on the coastal landscape.
