Resources for the Media
We are excited to introduce you to the Golden Isles. Located along southeast Georgia’s coast, the Golden Isles are comprised of four barrier islands and the mainland of Brunswick. Our coast is known for our southern hospitality and culture, as well as exceptional restaurants and hotels. Areas throughout our destination have been designated National Historic Landmark Districts including the Jekyll Island Club Hotel grounds as well as the Old Town National Register District (historic downtown Brunswick) in Brunswick. Many other historic sites within the Golden Isles are now State Parks such as Fort Frederica National Monument, Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation and the Bloody Marsh Battle Site.
