Known by many as the U.S. Capital for Golf, more than two dozen PGA pros train and live in the Golden Isles, including World Golf Hall of Fame Inductee Davis Love III, Matt Kuchar, and Zach Johnson, just to name a few. Each fall, we cheer on our hometown heroes and welcome their competitors back to the area for the annual RSM Classic. In its seventh year, the RSM Classic is a PGA TOUR event played at Sea Island Golf Club.

With some of the world’s most elite golfers and plenty of evening activities to keep you entertained off the course, this year’s tournament promises to be another signature week-long event in the Golden Isles.

One of the most anticipated events during the RSM Classic is the live concert Saturday evening following the tournament. This year’s concert headliner is American country music singer and songwriter Jake Owen, who has had six #1 singles to date – “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “Beachin’,” “Anywhere with You,” “Alone with You,” “The One That Got Away,” and “American Country Love Song.” The concert will take place on Saturday, November 18 at McKinnon St. Simons Airport. A grand prize winner will receive 2 VIP concert tickets, 2 week-long tournament passes in a private Chalet on the 18th hole, $100 to spend at the Golden Isles Gift Shop and gift cards to some of the island’s favorite restaurants. Enter to win here. Good luck!

Back by popular demand this year is the Taste of the Golden Isles. Held for the second consecutive year, Taste of the Golden Isles allows guests to sample and savor some of the finest foods and spirits available in the Golden Isles prepared by award-winning chefs from across the region. This year’s event will be held Friday, November 17 at 5pm at the St. Simons Island Pier Village. Insider tip: Get your tickets soon! It was a sold-out event last year.

With some of golf’s most recognized players, several highly-anticipated events throughout the week, all held in a beautiful coastal setting, the 2017 RSM Classic is not to be missed.
