When the Golden Isles’ best chefs and caterers gather at the King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort for the 18th annual A Taste of Glynn on April 8, it will be an evening full of the area’s finest food, wine auction and silent auction full of treasures. All proceeds support the Glynn Community Crisis Center, which serves men, women and children who have experienced domestic violence. The organization operates Amity House, the emergency shelter; a 24/7 crisis line; Hope House, a transitional living residence, and outreach for those who do not require shelter.
At A Taste of Glynn, guests sample the best of the best from the area’s lively food culture, enjoy live music and cast votes for their favorite dishes. It all takes place in a beautiful oceanfront setting, for one memorable night each year. What they might not realize is that the purchase of every ticket makes it possible for those who make a new life away from their abusers to enjoy a safe, peaceful dinner every night.
