Discover Jekyll Island’s past through the eyes of those who uncover it, preserve it, and protect it. Join us for a chance to explore behind-the-scenes and work with the historians, rangers, and preservationists who take care of the cultural and natural history of Jekyll Island. Campers will not only interact with the very people who work to tell our story but also get a chance to be involved in the telling of the story themselves! Campers will get to be hands-on through the week, excavating a mock dig like an archaeologist, making tabby as a preservationist, and designing their own showcase for display at the Mosaic as a curator. Join us Summer of 2020 to discover all this and more!
History Makers Camp includes 25 hours of instruction, a visit to Summer Waves Water Park during camp, a daily lunch option offered by Larry’s Giant Subs, and an official camp shirt.
