If you're thinking about something a little more creative (and appreciated) than a tie or sweater for those on your gift list this holiday season, the Jekyll Island Arts Association's fifth annual Merry Artists' Show & Sale is your shopping solution. Unique works of art – each created by Jekyll Island Arts Association members and priced less than $150 – will be on sale from Nov. 23 – Dec. 30 at the Goodyear Cottage on Jekyll Island.
The one-of-a-kind original artwork includes weaving, pottery, jewelry, books, paintings, woodturning, wall art, fiber arts, sculpture and basketry.
"Many of our member artists prepare for this event all year long," said Bonnie Householder, president of the Jekyll Island Arts Association. "The items they create for Merry Artists turn Goodyear Cottage into a creative and festive shopping experience."
The Goodyear Cottage Art Gallery and Gift Shop in the Jekyll Island Historic District is open daily, from noon to 4 p.m., and on weekends, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Nov. 24, during the Jekyll Island Tree Festival, Goodyear Cottage will be open until 8 p.m.
