Storytelling with Pictures for Comics, Picture Books and Animation

This is a lecture/presentations on visual storytelling. It will feature some original comic art pages, as well as sample picture book illustrations and animation storyboards. A fun, informative and very entertaining two hours for anyone interested in a job in comics, children's picture books or animated storyboards. No supplies necessary, but anyone with portfolios is free to bring their work for review.
Bob spent almost 20 years teaching Sequential Art BFA and MFA classes at the Savannah College of Art and Design, including subjects like Comic Book Illustration, History of Sequential Art, Character Designs and Storyboards for Animation and Children's Picture Book Illustration. For anyone wishing to learn how to practice telling stories with pictures for various formats, this class is just for you. Many of Bob's former students have gone on to work professionally for companies like MARVEL, DC, VERTIGO, IDW and ARCHIE comics. Others chose careers working in tv and feature film animation for companies like DISNEY, DREAMWORKS, CARTOON NETWORK, NICKELODEON. Still more students carved out careers creating hugely popular video games for EA GAMES, INSOMNIAC, HASBRO and ROCKSTAR studios.
