March 9 at 7 pm, the 1990 version of Roald Dahl’s The Witches will be screened. This dark fantasy comedy film directed by Nicolas Roeg was produced by Jim Henson and stars Anjelica Huston. As in the original novel, the story features evil witches who masquerade as ordinary women and kill children, and a boy and his grandmother must find a way to foil their plans.
Join Golden Isles Arts & Humanities at one or all of our NEA Big Read movies in March! All screenings will take place at the Historic Ritz Theatre in downtown Brunswick and screenings are free.
