Children ages 8-17 can experience the thrill of aviation and enjoy an airplane ride over the beautiful beaches, rivers and Marshes of Glynn at no charge on Saturday, April 21. The first 100 young people to sign up will take to the skies, courtesy of Chapter 905 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), based at McKinnon St Simons Island Airport.
Through their Young Eagles program, EAA pilots take their young passengers on 15-20 minute flights that demonstrate the freedom and excitement of aviation firsthand. A parent or legal guardian must be present to give permission to fly for each child. To fly with the Young Eagles, please visit https://www.flightsquid.com/event/3370 and select a flight time. Passengers and parent or guardians should be in place at the appointed hour at the EAA facility at 1797 Demere Road on St Simons Island.
