ST. SIMONS ISLAND

Mistletoe Market: December 1-2

Find the perfect gift of locally-made artwork, pottery, sculpture, photography, woodworking and more as you browse more than 60 accomplished artist booths at Glynn Visual Arts' eighth annual Mistletoe Market held at Postell Park. Other exciting events include the Holiday Hound Hike, a festive dog parade, and a kids' creation station. Learn more.

Holiday Open House at Fort Frederica: December 8

The National Park Service at Fort Frederica National Monument will celebrate General James Oglethorpe's birthday in true colonial style. The public is invited to join the living history volunteer program to discuss the life and influence of General Oglethorpe. Learn more.

Christmas Tour of Lights: December 13-24

Join Lighthouse Trolleys for their Annual Fendig Family Christmas Tour of Lights! The 90-minute tour will be offered daily from December 13-24. Learn more.

New Years Eve Silent Disco: December 31

Ring in 2019 with your closest family and friends at St. Simons Island's newest event venue, The Greenhouse. Ticket includes admission, open bar and late night snacks. Part of the proceeds benefit Hospice of the Golden Isles. Learn more.

SEA ISLAND

Sea Island Half Marathon: December 1

Runners will take in the scenic sights and views around Sea Island as they opt between a 5K or half marathon course with minimal elevation gain. The marathon, presented by Vineyard Vines, will feature a post-race party and champagne brunch, Vineyard Vines participant performance tee, medal and more. Learn more.

Golden Isles Live! Presents Vox Fortura: December 7

Jekyll Island Skating Village: November 17, 2018 - January 6, 2019

Jekyll Island "ice" skating is back and in a new riverfront location for the 2018-19 season. Located in the picturesque Historic District, the Jekyll Island Skating Village features a synthetic ice rink and real ice skates. This unique surface takes the pain and cold out of ice skating and is easy for kids and adults of all ages. Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation's 38th Annual Christmas Tour: November 30 - December 1

Step back in time at Brunswick's historic rice plantation and enjoy a special holiday-themed tour this Christmas season. Visitors will walk along the illuminated path under centuries-old oaks, take in the beautifully decorated plantation home, witness pre-Civil War re-enactments and cannon firings, and even visit with Santa Claus himself! Festival of Lights and Window Wonderland: December 1-15

Brunswick Christmas Parade: December 1

This annual community parade takes place on the first Saturday in December. Starting at 5:30 p.m. at Howard Coffin Park, more than 100 floats, vehicles, walking groups and marching bands will make their way down Newcastle Street as they light up the night and fill the air with holiday cheer. The Nutcracker Ballet: December 2
