Is there a really good Mexican place on SSI? I wanted to like this place, but the food was disappointing. The “tamale” is not an actual tamale. The tacos were served with absolutely no condiments or embellishments, which are the things that make a taco worthwhile. We needed a place to go to for Cinco de Mayo so we headed to Chile Peppers and sat outside to listen to the band play. As I am a huge fan of taco salads, I had to go for it. Awesome experience! Highly recommend. Busy Friday night we were seated and greeted immediately. Service was great, manager checked in on us a couple times, food was great and insanely fast. Food was terrific, good prices, and the atmosphere was fun and uplifting. All of the staff was working fast and efficiently together. It was a great experience.
