There are many events throughout Georgia's Golden Isles during the 4th of July holiday weekend.  This annual event listing will provide a brief overview of the many 4th of July celebrations scheduled but, for a more detailed listing of events please click here for our Event Calendar.

St. Simons Island 4th of July Celebration:
The Sunshine Music Festival will be held in Neptune Park on St. Simons Island, Thursday, July 4 from 11 am to approximately 11 pm. There will be a Golf Cart Parade starting at noon with registration at Mallery Park at 11:15 am. On the bandstand at noon, Magic 105.9 hosts MAGIC IDOL followed by featured music artists DeFunk Yo Soul, Fish Fry, and the Daniel Johnson Band before the FIREWORKS at 9 pm. The annual fireworks display begins later in the evening of July 4th at about 9:00 pm at Neptune Park in Pier Village.  Bring your lounge chairs, towels and plan to be their early to find parking. Also the weekend of July 6th and 7th enjoy the Annual Sunshine Festival Arts & Crafts Show at Postell Park in Pier Village on St. Simons Island, Georgia.  

Brunswick's Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration:
This Fourth of July, bring yourself, your family and friends and join thousands of happy kids and adults for free games, free watermelon, and of course free fireworks at Mary Ross Waterfront Park in the heart of Historic Downtown Brunswick. The festivities start at 7:00 pm and feature organized and supervised classic games like sack races, tug-of-wars, horseshoes, various ball games, hula-hoop contests and more.  Players compete for prizes of delicious whole South Georgia watermelons. Can't win or just don't want to play but you still have a taste for watermelon? Free slices are handed out all evening, compliments of the City of Brunswick.  The fireworks over the waters of the East River and Oglethorpe Bay start about 9:00 pm and last 30 minutes.  A great, fun, family event that's sponsored each year by The City of Brunswick, Golden Isles Arts and Humanities Association, and the Downtown Development Authority. 

Jekyll Island Independence Day Celebration:
Join your friends and family for a July 4th celebration on Jekyll Island. Whether spending the day at the beach, by the pool, or at Summer Waves Water Park, there is always a way to stay cool and enjoy July 4 on Jekyll Island to include fireworks being launched from Great Dunes Golf Course @ 9p.m.

Sea Island 4th of July Celebration:
For guests and residents of Sea Island
The Cloister and Beach Club have many activities schedule each year during the 4th of July weekend.  July 4th usually begins with a flag raising ceremony and ends the day of family fun and celebration with a Fireworks Spectacular at the Beach Club usually around 9pm.  Click here for more information about events at Sea Island.
