The Golden Isles offers a variety of educational and enjoyable activities for kids of all ages to participate in during the summer season. From day camps to overnight camps, kids can experience fun, specialized training in activities such as sports, performing and visual arts, nature and more!

Kids Swimming Lessons

Dates: All Summer Long | Ages: 6 months+ | Location: St. Simons Island & Brunswick 

Swimming lessons are provided for children ages 6 months and up for a fee of $30*. Sessions begin in June and are available at Neptune Fun Zone on St. Simons Island (912-279-2836), Selden Park (912-279-2800) and Howard Coffin Park (912-279-3810) in Brunswick. Private lessons are also available.

Summer Sailing Camps

Dates: All Summer Long | Ages: 6 - 18 | Location: Brunswick

Located at picturesque Brunswick Landing Marina, Golden Isles Community Sailing Center (GICSC) offers easy and affordable access to learning how to sail as well as safety on and around the water. GICSC's instructional programs are taught by U.S. Sailing certified instructors, and programs are offered for ages 6 to 12. Specific dates and times to come. Coastal Outdoor Adventures Camps

Coastal Outdoor Adventures offers kids camps on St. Simons Island for residents and visitors, providing children with a safe, unique and unforgettable outdoor experience. Camp themes include Shark Fest, Camp Village Creek and Junior Biologist Camp. Shark Fishing, Kayaking, Paddleboarding, Beach, Seining, Crabbing, Castnetting and Marine Science are all part of this year's exciting line up

Color Me Happy Summer Camps

Dates: June & July | Ages: 9-11 | Location: Brunswick

The Color Me Happy summer art camps run for the months of June and July and are open to children ages 6 and up. Each camp runs Tuesday - Friday from 9:00 - 11:00am and the fee is $99 + tax (10% discount for siblings!) for each four-day camp. At least four projects (pottery painting, canvas painting, clay building, etc.) will be made during each camp.

Sea Turtle Camp at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center

Dates: June & July | Ages: 6 - 9 and 10 - 12 | Location: Jekyll Island

The Georgia Sea Turtle Center invites campers to enjoy fun-in-the-sun activities, field-based adventures, and unforgettable sea turtles. Each day will focus on sea turtle biology, conservation, and the threats that these animals face. Campers will explore the many habitats of Jekyll Island: from freshwater ponds to the maritime forest to tidal marshlands down and to the beach accompanied by the myriad of turtle species and wildlife found in coastal Georgia. Campers will interact daily with GSTC staff, volunteers and AmeriCorps members during this unique week of learning and adventure.

Cost is $296 and includes five full days of camp, t-shirt, water bottle, daily boxed lunch, one-time visit to Summer Waves Waterpark. All sessions are Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 2:00pm. A 10% discount per additional child is available.

Jekyll Island Tennis Camp

Dates: June & July | Ages: 6 - 14 | Location: Jekyll Island

The Jekyll Island Tennis Club invites campers to improve tennis skills and help develop their personal style of play. Each camper will get daily on-court instruction personalized for their needs. Staff is made up of USPTA professionals and teaching assistants with college level experience. Campers are grouped based on individual skill level, not based on age.

Cost is $296.80 and includes five full days of camp, t-shirt, water bottle, daily boxed lunch, one-time visit to Summer Waves Waterpark. All sessions are Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 2:00pm. A 10% discount per additional child is available. 

June 19 - 23: STARTers Session 1

Jekyll Island Golf Club Summer Day Camp

Dates: June & July | Ages: 6 - 15 | Location: Jekyll Island

Jekyll Island Golf Club invites campers to learn more about the game of golf. Daily instruction from a PGA Professional will cover putting, chipping, pitching, full swing, on-course instruction, and etiquette. Daily instruction will be tailored to meet your child's needs. Each camper will receive a video of their swing, using V1 Video Analysis Software, and daily prizes will be awarded for play. Campers will also play for free at the Jekyll Island Golf Club for the rest of the year (with a paying adult). Whether it's their first time on the green or they are well-versed in the game, this camp is great for all levels of golfers.

Cost is $296.80 and includes five full days of camp, t-shirt, water bottle, daily boxed lunch, one-time visit to Summer Waves Waterpark. All sessions are Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 2:00pm. A 10% discount per additional child is available.

Jekyll Island Time Travelers Camp

Dates: June | Ages: 8 - 12 | Location: Jekyll Island

The Jekyll Island Museum invites campers to travel through history and discover an eventful past through daily field trips, games, and hands-on activities throughout Jekyll Island. This adventure includes outings exploring Colonial times, the Golden Age of Piracy, the Gilded Era, the Roaring 20s, and the 1950s. Campers will focus on a specific time period each day, visiting a variety of historic sites on the island, including the Historic Landmark District. Learning will be fun-filled through an assortment of engaging and active experiences.

Cost is $296.80 and includes five full days of camp, t-shirt, water bottle, daily boxed lunch, one-time visit to Summer Waves Waterpark. All sessions are Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 2:00pm. A 10% discount per additional child is available.

Three Oaks Farm Horse Camp

Dates: May, June, July & August | Ages: Varies | Location: Brunswick

First Friday Overnight Camp - First Friday of Each Month

Children come to the barn anytime after school on Friday afternoon and participate in Pony Club activities. The children will have dinner, watch horse movies, and enjoy other barn-related activities. They will spend the night in our clubhouse and wake up Saturday morning and take part in our Saturday morning Saddle Club, which includes a horseback riding lesson.

Cost: $65 per child, additional child 1/2 off

Summer Break Camp - Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Camp includes horseback riding lesson, art class, game time, petting zoo free time and a Jekyll Island field trip. Bring your own lunch Mondays - Thursdays, and on Fridays bring $8.00 for lunch/field day. Bus pick up and drop off available for St. Simons and Jekyll islands. 

Cost: $125 - $175 for the week, or $55 per day per child

Vacation Day Camp - Monday - Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

This camp was designed with vacationing families in mind. Parents can enjoy a day of play while their children enjoy a fun-filled day at our camp. Lunch is included, and transportation is available.

Cost: $75 per day, additional child 1/2 off

Summer Care Program

Our Summer Care Program was created with working parents in mind. Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 6:00pm (program is 9:00am - 3:00pm); Minimum requirement of six weeks attendance. Weeks do not need to be consecutive. Mondays - Thursdays bring a lunch, swimsuit, towel and sunscreen. Fridays bring $8.00 for lunch.

Kids Camps at The Brick

Dates: May 30, 2017 - August 4, 2017 | Ages: 5 - 14 | Location: St. Simons Island

The Brick offers fun, active, challenging, creative and adventurous summer camps for kids 5 - 14 years old. Programs begin in June with camps lasting four to five days in length from 8:00am to 4:30pm for regular camps with an optional extended day program from 4:30 - 6:00pm for an additional $5 per child per day. Camps are offered Mondays - Fridays. Campers will need to bring their own lunch and two snacks for each day. Activities include arts and crafts, games, martial arts, treasure hunt, bowling, movies, and more!

Under the Sea, May 30 - June 2

This week we’ll explore the amazing ocean world! From Nemo to shark dodgeball, this week is all about our beautiful ocean. We’ll also have a visitor from the DNR. Field Trip: GA Sea Turtle Center

A Week at Hogwarts, June 5 - 9 

Go through Platform 9 3/4 and come out at Hogwarts School! Get sorted into your houses, and spend the week earning points to win the House Cup!

Kickin' It, June 12 - 16 

Be a ninja this week! Play Samurai Dodgeball, make paper nunchakus, learn some self-defense, and even break a board! Field Trip: Sidekicks movie at Island Theater 

Secret Spy School, June 19 - 22 

Most of what we do this week is classified in information, but we can tell you that you will learn spy tricks, get your secret code name, and complete challenges to escape from a “secret room”. Field Trip: Spy Scavenger Hunt in the Village. 

Kids In Space, June 26 - June 30 
From Nemo to shark dodgeball to glow-in-the-dark jellyfish, this week is all about our beautiful ocean!

Team USA, July 3 - 7(no camp on the 4th) 

We’ll get patriotic this week and learn about our country, our history, the Olympics and more! We’ll divide into teams and compete all week for medals! Field Trip: Beach Volleyball at Coastguard. 

Under the Big Top, July 10 - 14 

Learn to juggle, create circus act to perform, and play on the carnival midway! Field Trip: Movie at Casino

MACH Camp, July 18 - 22

MACH (Multi-Adventure Challenge) This week will challenge you with non-stop activities and games. Are you ready? Fear factor, pie face challenge, amazing race, water Olympics and more! Field Trip: Footgolf at Sea Palms/ Disc golf and Gascoigne. 

Hurray for Hollywood, July 24 - 28 

Spend the week learning improve, make your own Hollywood star, learn stunting, and Friday, we’ll put on a performance of skits we’ve been working on for friends and family! Field Trip: Skit Performance (TBA)

Magic & Mystery Tour, July 31 - August 4 

Every day is a mystery and you won’t know what we’re doing until you get to camp! But one thing is for sure; each day will be super fun! Field Trip: Wouldn’t you like to know?

Summer Camps at Glynn Visual Arts

Dates: June & July | Ages: 7+ | Location: St. Simons Island

Clay and Collage with Debbie Craig! Camps are June 12 - 16, 19 - 23, July 10 - 14, 17 - 21 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Learn the process of working with clay, making rattles/bells. Concluding with collage techniques. All materials included. Price is $150 for members and $160 for non-members.

Theatre & Film Summer Camps

Dates: June & July | Ages: 6 - 18 | Location: Brunswick

Golden Isles Arts and Humanities offer a variety of theatre and film camps for children ages 6-7 at the Historic Ritz Theatre in Downtown Brunswick. All camps will run Monday - Friday. Tuiton increases $25 after June 1st. Multiple camp discount: Take $25 off your total tuition if you register for more than one camp. Classes are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met. Lunch is not provided. Campers age 13+ may purchase lunch in the downtown area with guardian's permission. All camps will end with a presentation sharing on the final day of camp.

Camps for Ages 6-7 

Peter Pan: Campers explore Neverland through dramatic play & art. (Class minimum: 8; Maximum: 14) June 5 - 9, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuition: $175. 

Alice In Wonderland: Campers take a fantastic journey down the rabbit hole through dramatic play and art. (Class minimum: 8; Maximum: 14) July 17 - 21, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuition: $175, Instructor: Lucy Lynn Bryson

Camps for Ages 8-11: 

Young performers mount their own production while learning theatre skills. The class performances are held on Friday at 4:30 p.m. (Class minimum: 10, Maximum: 20)

Golden Isles Riding Academy Summer Camp Fun

Dates: All Summer Long | Ages: N/A | Location: Brunswick

Campers will stay busy all day with their assigned horse--learning care and grooming skills--and enjoy two riding sessions each day. Great for first time horse enthusiasts to seasoned riders. Excellent instructors are focused on safety first.

Hampton Club Junior Golf Summer Program

Dates: June - August | Ages: 6 - 15 | Location: St. Simons Island

The King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort offers a summer golf program for children between the ages of 8 - 15. Each session lasts three days and begins at 9:00am and goes until 11:00am. If needed, golf clubs will be provided. Activities include education, instruction, skills drills and competitions. Snacks, prizes and trophies are included.

Premier Martial Arts Summer Camp

Dates: May - August | Ages: All | Location: Brunswick

For the times when kids want or need a fun and safe place to be, Premier Martial Arts is here to provide the answer! We offer a traditional day camp experience with weekly themes that provide your child with a positive experience for their summertime fun. Premier Martial Arts is more than just kicking and punching - we teach life skills. During daily activities, campers will be taught what we call "Black Belt Excellence Behavior" which includes focus, respect, and self-discipline. These valuable life skills are incorporated throughout the day in both Karate Class sessions as well as the themed activities. So not only will the kids have a blast each day, they will also learn skills that will help them succeed in school and beyond!

Each day of camp is structured and planned out with activities and games geared toward that week's theme. Also each day the kids will have several times of martial arts lessons. No prior martial arts experience is required to attend our camps. Camp will run from 9:00am until 3:00pm daily. Early drop off from 7:30-9:00am and late pick up from 3:00-6:00pm are available for a $5 fee.

Kids’ Tennis Camps

Dates: June | Ages: 5-14 | Location: Brunswick

This summer, participate in a Kids Tennis Camp for tennis players of all skill levels. Beginner-Intermediate players will concentrate on proper technique, conditioning, strategy and developing a winning attitude. More experienced players will sharpen skills in preparation for match play and improve skills through strategy and match play experience. At the end of each day, campers will spend the last hour cooling off at the Brunswick Aquatic Center next to the tennis courts. The center will be open to Tennis Campers only and lifeguards will be on duty.

Fee: $130.00

Skill level: beginner – advanced

What to bring: tennis racquet, plenty of water, lunch, bathing suit and towel

British Soccer Camp

Dates: July 17-21 | Ages: 4-17 | Location: Frederica Park, St. Simons Island

Challenger Sports' British Soccer Camp is the most popular soccer camp in the country based upon one of the most innovative approaches to coaching youth soccer in the US and Canada. Our experienced staff study the game at all levels and will help players improve their core techniques and become more confident on the ball. With programs for each age, the curriculums includes a variety of foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, freestyle soccer, small-sided games and coached scrimmages.

World Cup style games are held each day where campers compete for their adopted country and are encouraged to learn about different customs and cultures, and our core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership.

Young Dancers Extravaganza Camp

Dates: June 6-July 26 | Ages: 4-8 | Location: St. Simons Island & Brunswick

Jill Stanford Dance Center offers four themed dance camps in June and July from 9:00am - 11:00am. Camps are designed for boys and girls ages 4-8 to explore dance through creative movement, ballet, and tap. One camp is $50, two camps $90, three camps $140, and four camps $175. There will be snacks, crafts, and games for each themed camp.

Pine Haven Stables Horse Camp

Marshes of Glynn Library Camps

Dates: June  | Ages: 11-17 | Location: Brunswick Library

Robotics Camp: Learn how to program robots using the Lego Mindstorm Robotic System. Camp is for rising 6th graders - high school. 

June 17: 10 a.m.-12:00 p.m. , June 20: 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. , June 22: 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. , June 24: 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

The Amazing Authors Club: Teens will explore the unique buildings of Glynn County and then produce an illustrated book of these amazing structures. Local artist Sally Gazaway will instruct the club members in watercolor illustration and guide them in the creation of their book. The book will become a part of the libraries' collection. Each member will be given a copy of the book. An art show of the illustrations will be held at the library in August. All meetings are from 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Jekyll Island Arts Association Art Camp

Dates: June 19 - 23  | Ages: 5-10 | Location: Goodyear Cottage 

Jekyll Island Arts Association is presenting our first Summer Art Camo for kids in grades kindergarten through 5th grade. Parents can enjoy their mornings relaxing on Jekyll while their kids become artists. Our summer camp is taught, created and directed by a full-time art teacher in a private school. Sarah Tallu Scott Schuyler, an accomplished artist in her own right, has a fun-filled week of projects planned for your child. Also in the classroom will be art teacher JoAnn Buisson. The camp will be held at Goodyear Cottage, home of Jekyll Island Arts Association, in the Jekyll Island Historic District. Camp will be Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m.  - 12:00 p.m. Campers are encouraged to bring a mid-morning snack. The cost is $175.00 and includes all supplies needed.
