This free event, now in its 29th year, features exhibitors, live entertainment, marine-life touch tanks, historical demonstrations, games, and much more!

Exhibitors

CoastFest features a variety of environmental, research, and educational exhibitors from across Georgia and the Southeast. These exhibitors provide attendees with free opportunities to learn about natural resources, wildlife, climate science, litter prevention, and dozens of other topics.

Art Contest

The CoastFest Art Contest will return at the Marshes of Glynn Library in downtown Brunswick, just across the street from Mary Ross Waterfront Park. Cool off in the air conditioning and peruse hundreds of fantastic pieces of art from local students.

Performance Schedule:

Returning for 2024 are several favorite performers. Please check this website in the coming weeks for a full schedule of performances. These educational performances highlight the natural and socio-culture resources of Georgia's Coastal region and are performed throughout the day during CoastFest. 

10 a.m. | Black Powder (Cannons & Muskets) Demonstrations and History Program Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites 

11 a.m. | Live Wildlife Program Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center, Georgia DNR

12 p.m. | CoastFest Art Contest Grand Prize Presentation Immediately followed by Center for Wildlife Education Georgia Southern University

1 p.m. | Black Powder (Cannons & Muskets) Demonstrations and History Program
Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites

2 p.m. | Live Wildlife Program Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center, Georgia DNR

3 p.m. | Center for Wildlife Education Georgia Southern University

4 p.m. | End-of-CoastFest black powder demonstration

Parking and Accessibility

Parking locations will be announced in the weeks before CoastFest. Signs will direct attendees to the designated parking area. Parking for individuals with handicap permits will be provided at Mary Ross Waterfront Park. 

Volunteer Opportunities

The Coastal Resources Division welcomes volunteers to assist in CoastFest. Please check back in the coming weeks for volunteer opportunities. 

Since 1995, GA DNR/Coastal Resources Division has hosted CoastFest on the first Saturday in October in support of the three-week national 'CoastWeeks' event.
