If you are planning on being a spectator at this year’s PGA TOUR McGladrey Classic, we have gathered all the essential details right here.

What is the McGladrey Classic?

This annual golf tournament — now in its fifth year — was started by legendary PGA TOUR golfer Davis Love III, in support of the Davis Love Foundation. The tournament raises money for the foundation in support of charities that help vulnerable children and families at risk of poor education, economic, social and health outcomes. The four-day golf tournament is played on the magnificent Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club.

Who will be playing this year?

Players have until Friday, October 17th to commit and past champions have included Chris Kirk, Tommy Gainey and Ben Crane. In addition to several PGA TOUR notables, Darius Rucker (lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish) will be performing a concert under the oaks on Wednesday night before the kickoff of tournament play on Thursday. Where can I get tickets?

Tickets are available online through the tournament’s official website. Packages include ticket booklets for access throughout the whole week, daily tickets, and an exciting Meet the Pros package. Practice rounds on Monday are open and free to the public.

Where are the spectator areas?

Tickets grant you access to the Seaside Course grounds, and allow you to follow your favorite golfers within set boundaries along the edge of each hole. A grand stand behind the 18th hole allows spectators a great vantage point for the tournament-winning putt on Sunday.

Where can I park?

All tournament parking is free and provided at McKinnon Airport, located on nearby St. Simons Island, where shuttles transport tournament-goers from the lot to the golf course. The shuttle ride takes between 5 to 10 minutes. A fun alternative is to ride a bike to the tournament. Ample bike racks are available at the tournament entrance, and for every bike ridden to the McGladrey Classic, the Davis Love Foundation will donate $2 to the Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
