Earth Day Nature Trail
The Earth Day Nature Trail is a completely self-guided trail that winds across salt marshes, tidal ponds and a coastal hammock high ground with views of the ocean and marshes. Features include wooden boardwalks across wading bird habitat, an osprey/eagle nesting platform, wildlife observation decks, educational signage, an outdoor pavilion with seating and an observation tower. Learn more about wildlife and nature in the Golden Isles.The nature trail was developed by the Department of Natural Resources - Coastal Resources Division and is accessed from their headquarters.Group reservations requested in advance. Handicap accessible. No admission charge. Open daily during daylight hours.
