Tidelands Nature Center offers hands-on marine environmental science programs for the general public and school groups.
One Hundred Miles
The mission of One Hundred Miles is to preserve, protect and enhance Georgia’s 100-mile coast.
Altamaha Riverkeepers
The Altamaha Riverkeeper is a grassroots organization dedicated to the protection, defense and restoration of Georgia’s biggest river, the Altamaha, including its tributaries the Ocmulgee, the Oconee and the Ohoopee.
Coastal Georgia Department of Natural Resources
The Coastal Resources Division is the state agency entrusted to manage Georgia’s coastal marshes, beaches, waters and marine fisheries resources for the benefit of present and future generations.
Driftwood Education Center
Driftwood Education Center’s mission is to cultivate a personal responsibility and awareness of for our aquatic ecosystems. It is the hope of Driftwood Education Center that participants will become responsible members of their community and continue to have a lasting desire to care for and preserve their aquatic resources.
Georgia Sea Grant
Georgia Sea Grant supports local research, education and outreach to bring a balanced approach towards land use, economic development and ecosystem health on Georgia’s coast.

On Little St. Simons Island, a profound commitment to conservation and preservation is a way of life, touching every facet of the Island and guiding its daily operation.

The Nature Conservancy works in the most critical places and has helped protect almost 300,000 acres, safeguard the rivers that traverse our state and care for our envied coast.
St. Simons Land Trust
The St. Simons Land Trust is dedicated to preserving St. Simons' natural and scenic character, as well as enhancing the quality of life of the island community for present and future generations.
University of Georgia Marine Extension Service
The Brunswick Station of the UGA Marine Extension Service addresses pressing issues on the coast using applied research, outreach, and education programs focused on water quality, fisheries and seafood, and sustainable land use.
