Halloween Scavenger Hunt at Hofwyl-Broadfield
Pick up a scavenger hunt map, follow the clues, and find the secret phrase at Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation! After finding the phrase, turn in your map and receive a goodie bag. This event is for all ages and is included with standard site admission.

Ghosts & Legends of Hofwyl-Broadfield
The Ghosts & Legends Tour at Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation is an entertaining walking tour filled with tales of terror, mystery, and fright. Learn about the plantations very spirited history as you are guided through the dark under the live oak trees by your very own tour guide. Hear the eerie stories of five generations of owners and the rice fields rich but tragic past.
The tours take place on Friday nights at 6:30 p.m. beginning October 18th through November 1st. Tickets are $20 and more information can be found below.

Trolley Ghost Tours on St. Simons Island
Take a frightening step back into history with Lighthouse Trolleys when you embark on a trolley tour visiting sites of authentic island history and ghostly stories. Hear the legends of Mary, the Wanderer, our most famous island ghost. Learn about those who have lived and died here, and possibly encounter those who never left…
Tours occur on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the month of October. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for children.
Haunted Bike Tours on St. Simons Island
Take a haunted bike tour with Brunswick Old Town Tours! Immerse yourself in the history and horror of Brunswick as you enjoy a guided bike tour that will uncover historical tales of tragedy, tradition, and folklore. And maybe even a ghost or two! Come in ride-friendly costumes as awards will be issued for the best-dressed riders! Riders are expected to bring their own bicycles. A small quantity of bicycles will be available to rent for an additional fee.

Gilded Age Ghosts and Ghouls
The Jekyll Island Club’s past comes alive on this fun after-dark experience with ghoulish and ghostly stories! Gilded Age Ghosts and Ghouls begins at the Jekyll Island Mosaic Museum, where you’ll learn about the Gilded Age traditions of All Hallow’s Eve and pick up some seasonal treats. You’ll then make your way by trolley to one of the island’s historic homes, while hearing real paranormal experiences of staff members and some of the island’s ghastlier tales.

Pumpkin Painting Party
Get ready for a spook-tacular time at The Cottage Custard + Coffee! Join us for a fun-filled Pumpkin Painting Party on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Island locals and visitors of all ages are invited to celebrate the start of spooky season with pumpkin painting, yummy frozen custard, lawn games, s’mores, and some super cool prizes! Fall Festival at St. Simons Presbyterian Church
Head out to St. Simons Presbyterian Church on October 30th for a fun family event with food trucks, bounce houses, a costume competition, a cakewalk, and so much more! This year, the church will also be collecting food donations to benefit the Sparrow's nest. Learn more.
