With festivals and events unique to the Golden Isles occurring every year, many loyal travelers keep coming back to this beautiful coastal setting. From artistic exhibits to culinary festivals and wildlife excursions, our annual events showcase the unique talents of our locals and the unparalleled beauty of our location.
For art lovers, check out Island Treasures (January/February). This two-month long event on Jekyll Island invites artisans to create an array of unique glass globes. These one-of-a-kind globes are then hidden across the island for lucky visitors to find—and keep!
Foodies will enjoy the Jekyll Island Shrimp & Grits Festival (November) and Brunswick Rockin' Stewbilee (January), the latter of which features cooking teams from around the U.S. vying to showcase their delicious stew recipes in front of a panel of expert judges.
We also host a variety of events in the Golden Isles for golf enthusiasts. The RSM Classic (November) and Georgia-Florida Weekend & Golf Classic (October/November) both promote a little friendly competition and fun.
The holiday season shines brightly in the Golden Isles with several beloved annual events held during Christmastime. Formerly known as the Jekyll Island tree lighting festival, Holly Jolly Jekyll transforms the island throughout the entire Christmas season. The annual Brunswick Christmas Parade officially kicks off the season with over 100 beautifully decorated floats.
